On Thursday Jana and I had an all day first aid course to attend, so Dudes spent the day with Nanna Mary and Aunty Sarah up at Broadwater Parklands at Southport in the rockpool area (on Dad's suggestion I might add...I'm taking some of the credit for the fun they had). They reported such a great time that Jana and I felt like we missed out a little :-(, so we decided to take him back up there yesterday to try and re-live some of his fun. It didn't disappoint! Van ran crazy, up and down the rockpool water area, before we had to cut our fun short as poor weather came in. He wasn't happy when we had to leave, so we had a brief stop at the playground on our way back to the car.
It's great that Van is at the age where he can now appreciate playgrounds, the water/beach and parks much more...he is no longer just eating the barkchips in the soft fall areas (although that still happens). It's a lot of fun for us just watching him enjoy himself so much.
He was certainly a tired little man by the end of the day!
